Description
Turbo’s Switch Grip® and Twist IT™ systems have earned their loyal following for good reason. But like the JoPo system, the proprietary drill bits carry a proprietary price tag—and I figured pro shop operators and hobbyists deserved a more affordable path to the same accuracy.
The Turbo Twist IT™ hole requires a precise 2.78″ depth (measured from the lowest point of the outer cutting head). This calibration jig lets you hit that exact depth every time using a standard 1-1/2″ bowling ball drill bit and a simple set screw shaft collar.
Set your collar once with this jig, and you get repeatable, dead-on accuracy without paying for the branded bit. Simple, cost-effective, and built to be the only reference tool you need to keep your Turbo installs dialed in.
PRO TIP: If you need to source a high-quality 1-1/2″ bit or other pro shop supplies that I don’t manufacture here, I highly recommend the team at BowlingIndex.com. They are my personal go-to for great service and fair pricing.
